Tickertape tool

What it does:

Allows you to create text which scrolls horizontally across the screen. Click on the tool then New > Define to create a new one.

Where it is:

In Power Tools.

Right click:

No right click functionality.

What it can be used for:

Revising vocabulary - enter a string of words and set it off, then get students to watch it and after a set amount of time stop it and get students to try and recall as many words as possible. The words can be hidden in random letters too.

For example cut and paste the following into the tickertape to revise fruit:

Watch out for:

Don't make it so fast it is impossible to read or too slow there it is boring.
